In Vehicle GPS Tracking Product Suite
Air-Trak offers two compact GPS vehicle tracking devices for automatic vehicle location (AVL). Operating on either CDMA or GSM networks, the right GPS tracking devices depends on the GPS tracking and fleet managing features you need and the location of your fleet operations. Compatible with all vehicle makes and models, the carrier certified GPS devices install quickly and easily.
How The GPS Tracker Works
Following successful installation, the maintenance-free GPS tracking device automatically reports location, speed, and status data at predefined intervals. Unlike other GPS in vehicle tracking products, update rate, alert settings, hours of operation, etc. for each individual GPS tracking unit can be configured at any time and as frequently as desired. Air-Trak even grants sub-minute reporting rates. Compare these flexible and customizable update settings with similar GPS tracking products and you see why Air-Trak leads the vehicle tracking industry.
Tracking When Out of Coverage
Air-Trak products continue to collect location information when a vehicle travels outside of cellular coverage. Upon returning to an area with cellular coverage, the stored information is sent with the time and location information for when the data was captured ("store and forward").For fleets operating in rural areas of the United States, Air-Trak offers a satellite failover tracking option.
